Trip to Grand Bahama 2003
A fun short trip to Grand Bahama with Tim and Donna in September, 2003.
The flight over was pretty uneventful except that the flight attendent I borrowed a pen from seemed to be interested in me. He was pretty helpful, but I didn't work too hard on flirting with him. And we already had 2 drink coupons for each of us, so it wasn't like we would get free drinks or anything.
It was actually such a short flight from Atlanta to Grand Bahama that we hardly had time to finish the second drink. Going through customs wasn't bad, but they did give us the customary long line to wait in.
Our taxi to the Port Lucay Resort turned out to be a limo, with nice leather seats and the AC running. And it cost the normal $22, which the person at the resort seemed satisfied was the going rate. We checked in at the front desk and then walked around to the fourth building on the right in a set of about 8 which encircled the pool and hot tub area.
It turns out we essentially 3 rooms, which had doors between thme which could be closed off from each other. Talk about luxury and space. I had an entire room to myself! And we had a sitting room with a fridge and couch in the center.
As usual I didn't get a lot of sun with all the sun-block I put on, but I had fun!
